Labrador Retrievers: Guide to Being Your Dog's Best Friend - Lorie Huston MY THOUGHTSREALLY LIKED ITLabs really are the perfect breed and this is a quick reference that anyone considering the breed should read BEFORE they get a pet or as an excellent reference for an older dog. Our first dog after my don was born was a rescued Lab that came from questionable background. She was promptly named Raisin and was the most gentle, patient dog I have ever owned. Although the breed is pretty excitable as a puppy, with enough exercise - just like kids -- they behave and are calm. This short book covers all of the important parts of taking care, training and behavior issues that come with a puppy or even an adult dog that is adopted. This is a must read for anyone considering the breed. Oh yes, it even covers shedding, something I hadn't counted on with my lab.
