This is unique take on the paranormal romances being written for young adults. I have to say that this one grabbed my attention and was a quick read. It wasn't quite a ghost story not a time travel but it nicely carved a path in between the two. There is some discussion of abusive relationships and that the main character of Amy overcomes her issues with the support of her Aunt Mae and a boy named Henry she meets in a clearing that isn't really living in the same era. There is a nice twist at the end that surprised me. Overall, this would be a great book for older teens since it discusses abuse, sexual situations and drugs and firmly points teens in the right direction.
