First off, if you didn't notice that this book is an erotic romance novel, I am telling you again. Now, I am going to rave about it.Olivia Cunning has written an erotic romance that will spell out all of those romantic fantasies every girl has had about a rock band. And I know every girl has had these same fantasies, it is just none of us are as talented as Ms. Cunning when it comes to putting words on paper. She covers all of the band members so no one feels left out. I stopped reading erotic romances a while ago when they all started to sound the same. It was just sex and a meager storyline to link said sex together. Backstage Pass is a story that makes the sex necessary. It works. Plain and simple, this is a novel that doesn't rely on the erotic to get the point across, but the erotic part is almost perfection. The main character of Myrna is a nice change from the usual rock groupie since she isn't one. She comes across as intelligent and strong and even though she is a psychologist, she unsure of her own sexuality. Brian is pure rock god with a sensitive side and a little Tommy Lee mixed in. Yes, I know he is the guitar player, but I was imagining Mr. Lee's swagger when I read this one. You can insert your own rock god fantasy here and no, I don't fantasize about Tommy Lee. I never kiss and tell. I have read that the next books will deal with each band member, so I will have something to look forward to and so will you. This book could have really been a cliche' and Cunning elevates this above your typical erotic romance. Oh, heck, just go buy the book and read it for yourself. It is that good.
